The Temple of Longing August Gathering

This month in The Temple of Longing, we gather with the 12th-century mystic, visionary, healer, composer, and abbess Hildegard von Bingen.

Hildegard was a woman of immense spiritual depth whose vision of the Divine was alive, embodied, and inseparable from the natural world. She saw God moving through root and branch, water and flame, breath and song. Her spirituality is earthy, elemental, and luminous one that calls us back into relationship with the living world, and with the life still moving within us.
